What we did for the client
Over a two-year period, we provided continuous support to the client’s employees through individual coaching. This process included 12 employees and 5 team leads. At the beginning of the collaboration, each employee met with their coach and set goals together with the company owner and coach. The goals were tailored to individual needs, with clear methods for measuring results. Sessions took place weekly or bi-weekly, depending on each employee’s needs.
Once initial goals were achieved, we offered ongoing support for addressing current problems or challenges within the agreed number of hours. During this phase, the frequency of sessions decreased to allow for a more flexible approach. Every three months, the company owner received a progress report for each employee, aligned with the employee beforehand.
What we measured
We tracked two key indicators on a monthly basis:
- Job satisfaction
- Work engagement
Short, reliable surveys were used to measure both constructs, which employees completed anonymously via mobile phones at the end of each month. The surveys were designed to not only measure the constructs but also link the results to the coaching support received. The results were scaled and expressed on a 0 to 100 scale, and average results were calculated for each construct for both groups of employees.
Results
The results showed an increase in job satisfaction and work engagement for both groups. While the growth was not strictly linear due to occasional fluctuations, a clear upward trend was evident. Specifically, both employees and team leads reported a significant increase in job satisfaction and work engagement throughout the individual coaching period.
Financial projection
- Job satisfaction increase:
- Employees: 153.72%
- Team leads: 95.47%
- Work engagement increase:
- Employees: 131.19%
- Team leads: 83.01%
Over two years, the company achieved a total revenue increase of €454,095. According to research, increased job satisfaction can boost profit by an estimated 3.95%, while increased engagement can contribute an additional 12.63%.
Without coaching and improvements in these two dimensions, projected revenue growth would have been €389,513.64. With coaching, revenue growth reached 137.71%, compared to 118.13% without it. The difference between these scenarios is €64,581.36, with a potential range of €8,569.30 to €120,749.23, depending on variations in satisfaction and engagement.
Note: We recognize that the calculation is not entirely precise due to various external and internal factors influencing the measured components. However, we made every effort to provide the most reliable overall picture and guidelines possible.
